My name is Stephanie. I have been married to my husband for 8 years. Thus, I've also been married to the Army since 2004. Sharing my husband with the military was something I resisted at first but have come to embrace. The transition from growing up in a liberal midwestern city into the military lifestyle was an abrupt wake up call, and very educational. Being a military wife has made me who I am today which above all else is much more independent than I was before.
My husband and I have successfully navigated our marriage through 7 deployments, countless training separations, and much more. Though I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, and a teaching certification, I am currently a stay at home mom to our 2 beautiful children.
I began this blog as a way to share my experiences with family and friends who are not a part of this lifestyle. I also hope that it reaches other military wives and offers support to them in the way that they may realize that they are not alone despite the fact that it can sometimes feel that way. I will write as honestly and candidly as I can based on circumstances.
Here's to you. Happy reading!
